Who am I

I am Jess and I have been working in the Melbourne music industry as a singer, songwriter and teacher for over a decade, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I have been very fortunate to have a career doing the thing I love most, singing and playing music.

My music career really began after completing my Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice at Monash University in 2012. Since then, I have divided my career between performing covers music in a variety of line ups and genres, whilst always making time to write, record and perform my original music. Some career highlights have been performing at the Melbourne International Jazz Festival, Strawberry Fields Music Festival and Queenscliff Music Festival with my original music projects. My work as a covers musician has allowed me play at some of Melbourne’s largest events and spaces such as the Australian Open, Melbourne Wine and Food Festival, Arts Centre Melbourne, Melbourne Town Hall, the MCG, Crown and more.

Throughout the last decade I have taught singing to a huge variety of ages and abilities, in a variety of settings. I am very passionate about helping singers to find their voice, strengthen their sound and advance their musicianship. It brings me so much joy to see the breakthrough moments for students, as well as the small but consistent growth observed in week to week lessons.

Come and join me at my home teaching studio in Preston for singing lessons that are tailored to your individual voice needs and goals.
